Reports this afternoon claim that Leicester are denying a Town approach for ex-Norwich man Darren Eadie. This is the second time this summer that Eadie has been linked with Town and it seems that the former scourge of Town may be seriously being considered by George Burley and his staff. |

Reports this afternoon suggest that Town may have made an enquiry about former Norwich City midfielder Darren Eadie. 25-year-old Eadie is likely to cost Town around the same £3 million mark that Leicester paid for him in December 1999. |

The FA have made a pronouncement on the dispute between Town and Morecambe over ticket prices for the third round FA Cup tie at Christie Park. Town fans will pay £15 each for their 979 tickets, while the home fans will pay up to £25 with the majority of tickets at £20. |

Town's right wing/full-back Fabian Wilnis is facing a battle to be fit for Monday's clash with Coventry. The Dutchman was injured by a bad tackle from Graham Stuart during Saturday's game with Charlton and then aggravated the injury in a block tackle during the second half. His calf is very sore and he also has a problem with his ankle. He is due to start running today, but he is still a fair distance from being able to kick a ball. Gary Croft and Titus Bramble will hope for a chance to play on Monday at Highfield Road should Wilnis not make it. Jim Magilton is also being treated for his recurrent ankle problem. |

Town are set to leave out several key players for tonight's Worthington Cup game at Highbury. Mark Venus, Jim Magilton, Richard Naylor and James Scowcroft have all failed to train in the last couple of days and all are likely to miss out. George Burley has said players will only play if they are 100% fit in the Worthington Cup. That means there could be starting places for Martijn Reuser, David Johnson (renewing his early season partnership with David Johnson) and Titus Bramble. |

James Scowcroft is claimed to be a target of Leicester City in reports today. The Town striker or midfielder has been admired by Peter Taylor since his days as under 21 manager when he gave Scowcroft more than the odd run-out. Taylor was reported to be at the reserve game with Arsenal last Wednesday and may see the Stanton-based player as an ideal replacement for Stan Collymore who is set to end leave Leicester after another bust-up. Town manager George Burley said of the story: "We are not looking to sell good players, we are looking to add to the squad." |

Town won their third away game on the trot with a late Jamie Clapham freekick adding to a first half Dan Petrescu own goal. Town lined up as they did last week which meant a place on the bench once more for Titus Bramble. |

Town skipper Matt Holland is hopeful that he will be fit to line-up for his 170th consecutive game for the Blues on Saturday. Holland's ankle was injured by a challenge from Gary Neville just before half-time and he was eventually substituted, for only the second time in his Town career, two minutes into the second half. The man signed from Bournemouth said: "It is still puffy and swollen but not as bad as I thought it might be. It is not the best but I'm not going to rule myself out of Saturday." Martijn Reuser and James Scowcroft will be standing by to take his place in midfield should Holland be missing. |

Town failed to return to second position in Division One with a stuttering display at the Hawthorns. Town lined up playing 4-4-2 as John McGreal and Fabian Wilnis had failed to reach fitness. Gary Croft played left-back whilst Mick Stockwell came in at right-back and Jermaine Wright and Jamie Clapham played the wide midfield roles. |
